Literacy, confidence, and critical thinking in small groups. Our curriculum integrates K'iche' language and worldview as lived identity — not simply as translation.

✓ Class size maintained between 10 and 15 students.
✓ Bilingual K'iche'-Spanish model with cultural grounding.
✓ Family support for long-term school continuity.
The preschool program serves children ages 4–6 with a curriculum grounded in Guatemala's CNB framework, adapted to integrate K'iche' language and worldview as part of each student's identity. Learning happens through play, free movement, and exploration — prioritizing emotional, social, and cognitive development in a safe and nurturing environment.

✓ Individual, family, and group therapy for children and parents.
✓ Mental health workshops for families and the staff team.
✓ Psychological support during crises and emergency situations.
The psychology team works with students, parents, and Sueños staff to promote individual and collective mental health. It provides individual, family, and group therapy sessions, along with monthly workshops on topics the community has historically had limited access to. During crisis situations, the team provides direct intervention and emotional support to families.
Social Work
We accompany families through legal processes, resource access, and community networks to uphold their rights.
✓ Legal guidance, case management, and documentation support.
✓ Parenting workshops and family life-skills tools.
✓ Coordination with external institutions for comprehensive care.
The social work program was created to accompany families through the legal cases the institution navigates each year — from guidance on complaints and documentation to direct support at government institutions. It also manages institutional resources, coordinates with partner organizations, and facilitates conscious parenting workshops for mothers and fathers.
